Hi, I'm Rosemary McCarthy and I was born and brought up in Montreal. While raising my 3 sons who now range in ages from 22 to 35, I studied Business at Concordia University then I owned and ran a marketing Company.
The experience of raising my family has given me great insights into what sparks children's imaginations. While looking for somewhere to use my creative energies, I started writing children's books - the stories just flowed.
This process has been wonderfully exciting and a great learning experience for me. This particular creative outlet came as much of a surprise to me, as to my family and friends. The people around me, both on a personal and a professional level, have been very supportive.
I was encouraged to give test readings to groups of children. When I read "Cap Finds a New Boy" it was always met with much enthusiasm from the students and their teachers. So I boldly forged ahead into unknown territory and had my book published. I plan to continue writing children's stories and someday possibly try my hand at reaching an adult audience.
