Illustrator's, Andrea Bateman's, Biography
Hi, I am Andrea Bateman and I was a 23 year old and a university student when I Illustrated this book. It was a great experience and learning tool that I have used in the years to follow.
I was eight years old and thrilled about the idea that my parents entered me into a weekend art program. For years after it was a hobby that I loved doing and involving myself with. This led me to study Fine Arts at John Abbott College. It was my time there that I decided to make the hobby I loved so much into something more, a livelihood. I have since gratuated from Concordia University in the program of Design Arts and I look forward to a career using my illustrating and design talents.
I have lived in Montreal my whole life, in the quiet West-Island suburb, Beaconsfield. I have two siblings, Andrew and Sophia, a rambunctious Dog named Darwin (to which I based a character in the book), and two loving and supportive parents, that without their support and contributions over the year, could not have made any of this possible, and to this I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
